Liverpool’s dance sector has a spring in it step after 15 brand new dance commissions have been awarded vital funding to be showcased in front of an audience.
Over 40 artists and organisations across the Liverpool City Region submitted applications to receive a Dance Creative Commission grant worth between £400 and £2,500. The grants awarded will enable them to develop and create new work, many of which will form part of the upcoming Leap Dance Festival, which returns this April for the first time since the pandemic.
Funding has been made possible thanks to UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF), Culture Liverpool and Liverpool City council and we are thrilled to showcase those professionals selected.
