What’s available with Liverpool Library Services during lockdown?
To support efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 and ensure the health and wellbeing of library customers and staff, all library sites have closed during the national lockdown for general public use but even during a lockdown there’s loads you can still do and access with Liverpool Libraries
The following services are on offer from Monday 11 January 2021:
Order and Collect from local libraries
Desperate for a good read to get you through lockdown? The why not make your designated walk to your local library and back? For further information or to order books, please contact Liverpool Libraries during the opening hours below by telephone or email (email is available during and outside opening hours). Don’t forget to include your library ticket number and a phone number in your email.
The library team will contact you when your books have arrived and are ready to collect at your chosen library. Please note, to keep everyone safe there is currently no access to browsing, public computers, printing or photocopying at these libraries

- The Home Library Service: The Home Library Service is for people who live in Liverpool but cannot get to a library or ask anyone to collect books on their behalf and is still available. For more information please email [email protected]

- AND Press Reader: Free access to newspapers and magazines viable through Read Liverpool
- Liverpool Record Office and Archives research services
- Business Services Online with the Business and Intellectual Property Centre: For the time being events and advice sessions will be online. There are online business tools, reference materials and databases you can still access from home.
