Cunard’s spiritual home will host the spectacular Naming Ceremony for its newest ship Queen Anne.

The event will take place on the world-famous Mersey waterfront at Liverpool on Monday 3 June during an introductory ‘lap of honour’ voyage around the British Isles.

Queen Anne is expected to arrive on the Mersey soon after sunrise on what promises to be the most eagerly awaited port of call on the exclusive 14-night voyage.

All eyes will be on Liverpool Pier Head, which will be alive with activity in the lead up to a dazzling naming ceremony set to start from 4pm. Much-loved TV personalities Emma and Matt Willis will host this incredible event, and will be joined by distinguished Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, with a unique, one-of-a-kind celebratory performance.

Later in the evening we’ll be keeping the celebrations going as we’re joined by more special guests, leading up to what’s likely to be one of Queen Anne’s biggest sail away parties ever.

The event in Liverpool is expected to draw tens of thousands of spectators to vantage points alongside the river at Pier Head, between New Brighton and Seacombe on Wirral and on beaches at Formby and Crosby in Sefton.

Further details of timings, activities, and spectator information for Queen Anne’s visit to Liverpool will be published in due course. For more information about Cunard visit www.cunard.com or check out our handy FAQ’s.
