With support from Culture Liverpool, academics at the Institute of Cultural Capital (ICC) revisited the impact of Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture in October 2018, to mark it’s 10 year anniversary.

Led by ICC Head of Research, Dr Beatriz García, ‘Liverpool 2018: Legacies of the European Capital of Culture 10 Years On’ was a research programme that re-examined the long-term effects of the European Capital of Culture on Liverpool’s image, local identity and cultural leadership.

This follows the ‘Impacts 08’ research programme, which in itself was a ground-breaking study on the economic, environmental, social and cultural impacts of Liverpool 2008.

Both research paper are available to read below.
