Hope For Christmas

The Visit Hope Street Community Interest Company (CIC), was established in 2009 and includes some of the key businesses and organisations in and around Hope Street, with the aim of promoting Hope Street as a great Liverpool visitor destination.

In response to the ongoing pandemic and to bring some sparkle, unity and Christmas cheer to Hope Street, artist Helen Davies was commissioned to create lighting installations in the windows of various venues and businesses along the famous street.

The unique installations feature beautiful snowflakes set in never-ending rings of unity, providing a trail of Christmas lights. Helen has been helped in the making of the installations by students from LIPA and with laser-cutting provided by Design Laser Play.

On top of this and as part of Christmas in the city, for the first time ever, new lighting features have been installed along Hope Street between the two cathedrals, a fitting display of angels playing trumpets, in the direction of the cathedrals and the Philharmonic Hall.
