The first event of the Liverpool Year of Spoken Word, The Female Forum was launched on International Women’s Day and is running as part of Liverpool Speaks – providing an open, trusted platform for all women to share, collaborate and connect.
The Female Forum takes a circle format, where members are invited to connect and discuss a pre-confirmed topic. There are guest speakers as well as regular circle attendees and new members are always welcome.
To support the project, we also have a closed Facebook group, offering members of the Female Forum the opportunity to connect digitally, discuss topics from the forum and make new friends and connections in a safe and trusted space.
The title, Female Forum, reflects the female led nature of the group. All individuals who identify as female or allies are welcome to attend sessions. While not all topics discussed are sensititive, we do ask all members of the Female Forum to respect the privacy of members and anything discussed is done so in confidence.
