In the grip of a climate emergency, while culture wars and real wars rage, ‘WOWFEST: Fahrenheit 2024 – The temperature at which the world burns’ is an arena for ideas and a call to action.
The festival programme draws inspiration from Ray Bradbury’s dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451, reflecting on the urgency of preserving knowledge and confronting censorship. Through writing, performance, and activism, WoWFEST aims to highlight the need for systemic change and the protection of our planet.
The festival will unite local, national and international writers, artists and audiences to highlight the urgent need for change and the preservation of our planet through writing, performance and activism.
