Hosted by Liverpool’s Collective Encounters, the Social Change Cabaret brings together people in struggle to share their voices, stories, hopes, and demands for change.

This January you are invited to join us online on Burns Night for an interactive Zoom cabaret inspired by “a cup of kindness” taken from Burns’s Auld Lang Syne.

Collective Encounters, alongside some invited guests, will perform short satirical sketches, songs, and poems to celebrate kindness as a positive radical act in a system that is inherently anti-kind; acts that reflect strength of character and of community. Before the show starts, we don’t know what order we are going to perform our acts in. As an audience member you will be presented with a menu of performances and you will help decide how the evening unfolds!

Get involved as much or as little as you like by dancing along, choosing the next act, sharing your thoughts in the chat, or just sitting back with your camera off and taking in our cup of kindness.

Guest performers to be announced soon…
