Little Richard said he invented rock ’n’ roll! You could argue that the world would have been very different without ‘Tutti Frutti’, two minutes of wild exhibitionism, recorded in 1955 transforming American music and culture. Little Richard is about an influential and charismatic man, who broke boundaries, shocked and surprised us and who lived his life as though he were continually on stage. What a fabulous contribution he made.
On Saturday 2 December 2pm – 3pm, come and meet music expert, author and biographer Spencer Leigh, who’ll take us on a journey through the incredible life and influence of Little Richard. There will also be special performance from Mike Byrne from the Sunrockers!
