Step into a realm of sensory exploration at Liverpool Cathedral’s upcoming art exhibition, Infinite Encounters running from 10th May to 2nd June 2024 – as a part of our centenary celebrations!
Infinite Encounters is a group exhibition welcoming visitors to interact and enjoy an experience guaranteed to bring the senses to life. The show conjures wonder through public participation and collaboration, encouraging the public to actively engage with some of the artworks displayed and to experience art in new ways.
Visitors will activate their senses through artworks that can be touched, seen, heard, and smelt.
Rasheed Araeen’s Zero to Infinity invites audiences to engage and reconfigure the original structure, sparking collective creativity. Similarly, local artist Frances Disley presents Holodeck Program 106, welcoming everyone to play dominoes and construct jigsaws together.
Myriam Thyes’ hypnotic video Mutable Worlds promises to be a visual journey whilst Neringa Naujokaite’s poetic work Horizon focuses its lens on the urban environment through sound, and on the importance of a young girl’s relationships with the city, friends, and music.
A new artwork by Frances Disley represents the harmonious coexistence of animals and plants found in the natural world. A bespoke menu inspired by Disley’s new installation will be available in the Welsford Bistro, as a part of the taste aspect of the exhibition!
Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to engage your senses and embark on a journey of artistic discovery at Liverpool Cathedral’s Infinite Encounters exhibition – mark your calendars and join us for an unforgettable experience.
