The Philharmonic Hall’s Music Room will play host to ‘Harmony of Dragons: A Musical Journey Through Chinese New Year’.
The event will unfold with a captivating music and dance experience for Chinese New Year. Renowned musicians from the BBC Philharmonic and Halle Orchestra in Manchester will collaborate with Pagoda Arts and West Midland Eurythmy to present ‘The Great Race’ and the enchanting story of Nian. The grand finale will feature tracks from ‘Harmony of Dragons‘, Pagoda Dancers, dragon dance and waist drumming and Bring the Fire Project showcasing a contemporary light circus act inspired by the celebration of the lantern festival performed by Szymon Mamys.
A day performance has been created and tailored especially for school children, with an evening performance open to all taking place at 8pm.

This event has been specially commissioned for the Lunar New Year Celebrations 2024 by Culture Liverpool, supported by Arts Council Eurovision Legacy Programme and Liverpool City Region Music Board.
