Originally built in Denmark in 1948 by renowned shipyard J Ring Andersen at Svenborg to carry supplies to remote coastal settlements in East Greenland, Kaskelot worked during the 1960’s as a support vessel for Danish fisheries in the Faroe Islands.
Kaskelot has has featured in many Hollywood films and TV dramas over the years including Cutthroat Island, A Respectable Trade, David Copperfield, Longitude and Amazing Grace.
After being extensively refitted in 2013 to a very high standard, the classic tall ship is now a magnificent example of a blue water sailing vessel. As well as being fully equipped for global voyages, Kaskelot is available for private evening functions, wedding parties and corporate events. With her high spec interiors, fully equipped galley and traditional finishes, she makes the ideal venue to entertain in a distinctive and memorable style.
