Mersey Ferries have a fantastic competition that’s sure to float your boat!
Have you ever taken a ferry ‘cross the Mersey? Would you like to win a family ticket to take your family across the Mersey on an iconic Mersey Ferry? What an opportunity to sail in style, on a dazzled Mersey Ferry!
Mersey Ferries have partnered with the 2021 Liverpool Year of Writing to run this fantastic family friendly competition open to children and young people aged up to 16yrs.
To enter the competition, all you have to do is write a short poem inspired by the theme “ferries”.

The deadline for entries is Sunday 11th April 2021.
The competition is being judged by three local authors based upon the age category you enter:
- Under 8yrs: Judged by Jude Lennon
- 8-10yrs: Judged by Natalie Reeves-Billing
- 11-16yrs: Judged by Ali Harwood
Three winners will be selected by 15th April and Mersey Ferries will announce the three winners on Wednesday 21st April, which is Poem in Your Pocket day!
