French-built ketch Arawak hails from the Union et Travail shipyard in Les Sables-d’Olonne and was built as a tuna fishing boat for work in the Bay of Biscay.
She also previously plied the waters around Brittany, before being bought by Christian and Suzanne de Parada in 1986 and transformed to help to train young people to sail.
