Bridging Divides

‘Bridge’ is a series of events and performances that aim to bridge divides and connect across differences. In the lead up to and during 5 – 7 August, you can be part of our ‘Bridge’ programme of creative activities.

Building Bridges

Building Bridges

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s design for a self-supporting bridge, Imagineer’s Bridge Kit can be built by anyone of any age and experience in less than two hours.

In the week leading up to the ‘Bridge’ event here in Liverpool, we are looking to invite local people to come together for a host of bridge-building activities.

Bringing together people who wouldn’t normally meet to create an astonishing and beautiful structure in public and outdoor spaces, community groups, schools, businesses and individuals are welcome to build their own bridges using one of the Bridge Kits.

Several table-top kits are also available for groups who are less able to build the bridges or lack space.

Under The Bridge

Under The Bridge

Using the theme ‘Bridging Divides’, community groups are invited to hold their usual activities, be that a dance or fitness class, gymnastic, boxing or sport demonstration, choir performance or something else entirely, ‘Under The Bridge’. These activities will form part of the day-time bridge programme taking place between 10am and 5pm on the 5 – 7 August.

Any community group or arts organisations interested in being part of the ‘Under The Bridge’ programme, should email [email protected] to explore your ideas and book your place.

We look forward to seeing you under the bridge!

Bridge Performance

Bridge Performance

Here is an amazing opportunity for individuals or groups to work with renowned choreographer Nathan Johnston and be part of the actual evening finale performance on the 6 & 7 August. Aimed at experienced performers and dancers aged 16+, you must be able to learn a specific choreographed piece and attend a dress rehearsal on Thursday 5 August.

If you are interested in taking part in this amazing opportunity, don’t delay – there are only 30 places available. Email [email protected] now to register your interest and receive further information.
