Zap Graffiti Chinese Mural

To complement the mural on the opposite side of Great George Square commissioned in 2020 as part of the CREART programme, Zap Graffiti will work with the young people of Pagoda Arts and Tang Shou, an award winning artist graduated at Beijing, Central Academy of Fine Arts, to design and paint a new mural for the Square. The new mural will reflect Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger and what it means to those young people.

Zap Graffiti have been based in Liverpool since 1995, they develop street art skills through workshops and commissions and manage the annual Contrast Mural Festival.

Tang Shou, graduated at Beijing, Central Academy of Fine Arts, taught Chinese traditional fine brushwork, lacquer painting, as well as modern painting in Runchu Aesthetics and Art Education Institution, Forward Arts International Art Education in Beijing. He is now living in Liverpool.
