Builder Book’s Your Vision of Eurovision engaged members of the local community with Eurovision-themed workshops. Artwork created during the workshops featured as part of a small exhibition at Liverpool Live Radio from Sunday 30 April to Saturday 13 May.

2,500 Eurovision activity packs were distributed across Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool City, Sefton and Wirral with 249 children attending Eurovision Workshops during the Easter holidays at the following venues:

  • Dudes and Dolls
  • Croxteth Gems
  • ACE
  • Anfield Community Centre
  • Salvation Army
  • Centre 56
  • Kensington Fields Community Centre
  • Autism in Motion
  • Croxteth Family Matters
  • Walton Youth and Community Project
  • The Drive L14
  • Sports Alive
  • The Big Help Project (working particularly with the Ukrainian Community)
  • Rhys Jones Centre

The focal point of the exhibition was a mural by local artist Natasha Ellis which uses artwork created during the workshops.

Natasha also working with the Ukrainian families at Big Help Project and pieces created during those workshops which featured in the exhibition. Parents and carers stayed with their children during the workshop at Big Help Project and it was lovely to see all ages, from babies to grandmothers, joining in with the song.

Ukrainian families were asked to write their vision of Eurovision in both English and Ukrainian language which will be showcased as part of the exhibition.

The exhibition wasdressed by Ukrainian 3D interior designer Anna Troian. Anna has been in touch with Ukrainian friends still at home and she is sourcing VR sets, to give exhibition visitors a view of Ukraine from various places.
