Liverpool is proud host of the national celebration of Armed Forces Day which will take place on the city’s historic waterfront on Saturday 24 June 2017.

Join us to celebrate the ordinary people who do extraordinary jobs as we say thank you to the Armed Forces on behalf of the nation.

The event will begin with a celebratory parade that will step off from St George’s Hall, marching through the city centre before culminating at the Waterfront.  Extending from Princes Parade to the Albert Dock, the waterfront will be animated with interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy with displays from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force. There is a full programme of activities to enjoy including dedicated family zones, combat displays, marching bands and the chance to explore a real Naval ship.

The Mersey River Festival is also taking place along the waterfront Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2017 making for a packed and exciting weekend for all.
