‘Peach Blossoms’. Performed at Liverpool Unity Theatre in 2015
This performance is based on an ancient poem titled ‘Peach Blossoms’ from the oldest book of poems ‘The Classic of Poetry’, also Shi Jing or Book of Odes, which dates back 2000 years. It depicts young girls’ hopes and longing for their future and a happy marriage, for which blooming peach blossoms and fruit are metaphors.
