Brought to you by Liverpool Irish Festival
Various Locations
Friday 22 October – Thursday 11 November 2021, Various Times
Free. No Booking Necessary.

Across the Festival, Doug Devaney – and his camera operator and recordist, Barry – will be collecting your stories. Why? They will be brought together to create a ‘magazine film’ called The Mersey Mash and will be premiered at the Liverpool Irish Centre on Tuesday 2 November. This film will form a record of #LIF2021 and give Doug more information for his podcast The Plastic Podcasts (plasticpodcasts.com).

To collect these recordings, Doug will be running a series of drop-in sessions called Mersey Mash Mixers! You don’t have to sign up, but if you have an interesting or meaningful story to tell about Liverpool, Liverpool Irish or Irish connections, Doug would love to hear from you. You can drop-in to any of the sessions and Doug will be there to listen, question and record!

Mersey Mash has a number of sessions running throughout the period:

The Mersey Mash: Mixer #1 –  Friday 22 October 2021, 12pm – 5pm
The Mersey Mash: Mixer #2 –  Tuesday 26 October 2021, 11am – 2pm
The Mersey Mash: Mixer #3 –  Thursday 28 October 2021, 11am – 1pm
The Mersey Mash: Mixer #4 –  Thursday 28 October 2021, 2pm – 4pm
The Mersey Mash: Mixer #5 –  Friday 29 October 2021, 12pm – 5pm
