Writing on the Wall were commissioned by Culture Liverpool to engage 2 local poets and writers, Levi Tefari and Amina Atiq, to develop creative writing for the Princes Avenue scheme designs. Pupils also benefited from an opportunity to learn about local history and develop a sense of place and community. Artist Helen Davies, also hosted visual arts workshops with 152 pupils from 5 local schools. This work focussed on patterns from the Kente textiles of Western Africa, which resonated with many of the communities living in the Princes Avenue ward.
