River of Light
Please do remember 5 November – as we turn the Mersey into a River of Light!
This Bonfire Night both Liverpool and Wirral are joining forces on a very special event and there will be fireworks! We will be celebrating with a bang, a whizz and a fizz pop of extra proportions.
The River Mersey is not just any river, it’s the beating heart of the city and for one special evening it will unite both Liverpool and Wirral in a spectacular waterfront display that will see a fireworks show to remember for years to come.
In addition to a display by the current British Fireworks Champion of Champions, there will be plenty of waterside activities to add to the surprises – with displays, street theatre and concessions plus a host of special events and offers from event partners Albert Dock, Liverpool ONE, Liverpool BID and friends of Culture!
