Rania Alkhllo: Hope
My commission piece is simple yet powerful and comprises a video of 31 different people expressing their hope for the future in their own way and language. Whenever we experience a very difficult time we still hope for a beautiful future.
Rania Alkhllo is from Syria and graduated in Architecture in 2014. Unfortunately, she was unable to find work in her country due to the war and had to escape. Her passion for art hasn’t stopped and she has tried hard to learn a new language and be actively involved in her new community. Rania has worked as an artist with SOLA Arts since 2015, as part of the Festival 31 team, as well as a photographer gaining lots of experience from international photo journalist, Howard Davies.
