Liverpool BID Company is an independent non-profit

organisation representing more than 1,500 businesses in Liverpool city centre through City Central BID and Commercial District BID (Business Improvement District).

The Liverpool BID area covers some of the most iconic locations in Liverpool city centre, from Bold Street and St Johns, to Metquarter and Queen Square, including the Cavern Quarter and the Commercial District which covers from Derby Square up to Leeds Street.

The main focus of the organisation is to support and improve business trading environments by investing monies, raised from a levy and sponsorship, into a programme of events, environmental and safety projects, as well as marketing the city centre as a world class visitor destination and business location.


merseyThe Merseyrail network has 67 stations across Merseyside, connecting Liverpool to West Kirby, New Brighton, Chester and Ellesmere Port on the Wirral Line and Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and Hunts Cross on the Northern Line. Enjoy unlimited off-peak travel with a Day Saver for just £5 per adult and £2.50 for under 18’s, or £10 for a family of up to five with a Merseyrail Family Ticket. Off-peak tickets give you more freedom than you think as you can travel any time after 0930 Monday – Friday and anytime on weekends and bank holidays.

Trains will run regularly for the River of Light event. Liverpool Central or Moorfields are the closest stations for the Northern Line passengers and James Street is the closest for Wirral Line passengers. Find your cheapest ticket and plan your journey at
