Lovers of late night radio in Liverpool will get a nostalgic hit with a new show from Gerry Linford at Liverpool’s Royal Court. The Peaceful Hour, directed by Emma Bird, runs from 14 February – 8 March.
The Peaceful Hour, hosted by, among others, Pete Price, was must-listen night owl radio, running from 10pm – 2am on Radio City for four decades. Scousers would ring in with requests, letters and problems. The iconic show is the backdrop for the new show running in real time on the stage.
Kirkby, 1985. When it comes to relationships, Julie has had more misses than hits. She just wants someone to love and someone who loves her.
