At Home, All’s Well is a new work by Liverpool-born artist John Petch. In 2016, John was asked by electronic band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), who hail from Wirral, to design the cover for their new album. He has gone on to work with the band on a number of singles and other design projects, as well as producing his signature style of Liverpool architectural paintings. He has been self-isolating at his home for several weeks and this painting aims to encompass his sense of hope for the future and gratitude for all the positive aspects of his life, despite the current crisis.

He says of this new work:

“This painting shows my wife and I at home, sat underneath a rainbow of promise, with our cats beside us. Our jumpers are in the colours from OMD’s Punishment of Luxury album art, the plain blue window gives the work a sense of distance, whilst the room is full of the outside.”
