This Autumn, visitors to Royal Albert Dock Liverpool can embark on a journey of new experiences, learn new skills and taste new flavours with a series of events taking place from 1st October – 7th November, each designed to Feed Your Mind. Become a master of gin, learn how to salsa like a star, or even try your hand at circus skills, it’s all here on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.

The diverse collection of bars, restaurants and attractions offer an array of new experiences to try. Head to Revolucion de Cuba to join in with their free, fun salsa classes, dive into the magical world of ancient Japan with Escape Hunt’s immersive Fourth Samurai game, or pay a visit to One O’Clock Gun on weekends to listen to some of Liverpool’s best local talent with their new live music program.

The exotic flavours of the dock can be savoured with a series of tasting events and masterclasses, whether you’re looking to further your knowledge on a favourite spirit or expand your palate. Learn from the gin masters at Turncoat’s Gin Experience with a private tasting of 5 samples of gin including their popular Albert Dock gin, or if rum is your preferred spirit head to Smugglers Cove to try some of the smoothest rums in the world.

Lunyalita is hosting two tasting events this month, a sherry tasting on 7th October complemented with tapitas and live Flamenco music for a true Spanish experience, along with a cheese and wine event on the 28th, offering 10 samples of the finest Spanish cheeses paired with tasters of three wines, along with accompaniments from Lunyalita’s deli.

Soak up the culture with a selection of exhibitions on offer throughout autumn, including Merseyside Maritime Museum’s Life on Board exhibition which tells the fascinating tales of Liverpool’s seafarers and passengers, learn all about the lives of the Fab4 at the Beatles Story, or visit Tate Liverpool to see Lucian Freud’s widely celebrated portraits in an exhibition which is the first of its kind in the North West for 30 years.

The finale to the Feed Your Mind activities will see the dock’s Anchor Courtyard turned into a circus school, with 160 sessions of free circus skills on offer for little ones from 25th-29th October. Suitable for ages 6-14yrs, they can try their hand at juggling, take on the dizzying spinning plates and even have a swing at the trapeze.

With so much happening this autumn, the dock’s two hotels, Holiday Inn Express and Premier Inn, are ideal for visitors looking to stay, shop and explore, for the ultimate staycation in the heart of the city.
