This weekend will mark the 4th annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon. Over 20,000 runners are expected to take part in the largest Rock ‘n’ Roll to date in Liverpool, with a 5K on Saturday followed by a Half Marathon, Marathon and One Mile on Sunday. Fifty six countries will be represented on the day including runners from 100’s of cities in the UK.

For the first time ever the Half Marathon and One Mile races have SOLD OUT! The most popular race, the Half Marathon, has seen an increase of 20% with 10,000 runners registered. The One Mile has doubled in entries since last year with all ages due to take part from 6 – 84 years of age.

On Saturday, more than 4,000 runners will take part in the 5K, a growth of 33% from last year. The marathon has had an increase of 29% with 4,000 due to take part, the oldest marathon entrant is 80 years old, from Chippenham, Wiltshire. Limited places are available to purchase at the Expo for the marathon and 5K. (Expo timings listed below)

Event weekend kicks off with a RunFit Expo at The ACC Liverpool on Friday 26th May and Saturday 27th May. The marathon starts and finishes along Liverpool’s waterfront, featuring scenic views of the stunning docks, rich architecture, spectacular museums and historic commercial districts along the course. Live bands and entertainment are staged along each mile of the race route. Event weekend concludes with a finish line celebration and festival outside of Echo Arena.

Rock legends Republica, will headline the Finish Festival Concert outside Echo Arena on Sunday. In addition to the headliner concert, live bands of every genre will play along the race course entertaining and encouraging runners as they make their way to the finish line. The line-up of course bands can be found here on the website. The finish line festival is free and open to the public with ongoing entertainment running from 10:30am-4pm; Republica take the stage at 2pm.
