by Culture Liverpool

The festival is a one day event held in Liverpool Central Library consisting of hands on activities and demonstrations for young people interested in creating art, digital technologies, performing or making with a range of materials and technologies.

From crafting, to gaming to coding it’s all happening at the Young Makefest event Friday 23 March 2018, from 11am – 3pm. There will be photography, music and art classes available during this free event, with a big focus on coding and emerging technologies.

Cllr Wendy Simon, Assistant Mayor and cabinet member for Culture, Tourism and Events said,

“We’re delighted to bring Makefest to a younger audience and hope that many of our schools across Liverpool join us for what will be an amazing event.

We’re really excited to be developing creative and technical skills amongst young people in the city.”

Young Makefest is a part of Liverpool Libraries’ Maker Difference’ project funded by the National Libraries Taskforce ‘Libraries Innovation Fund for Everyone’ and delivered in association with Liverpool Makefest.
