Last year the Liverpool International Music Festival attracted over 160,000 music lovers, cementing Liverpool’s reputation as a must-visit destination and establishing LIMF as the current voice of this global music city with an experimental but accessible programme for all. Thanks to its consistently unbeatable line-up, LIMF is now one of the leading music festivals in Europe.
After rising to prominence on the first season of The Voice (UK) and now with her debut album set for release this year, Worcestershire-born Becky Hill will be wowing the crowds at this year’s festival with her distinct voice and slew of hits. Joining her are in-demand girl group M.O, mainstays on 1Xtra thanks to their infectious attitude-laden pop and Toronto born singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez fresh off the back of dropping her brand new EP ‘Kiddo’ – with many more added to the line-up and Brouhaha bringing a Caribbean flavour to proceedings.
With around 100 acts playing over the course of the LIMF Summer Jam, equating to over 50 hours of free live music over the weekend, cementing the festival’s status as one of the biggest and best value for money festivals in the UK, appealing to young and old alike. With acts and DJs such as Gorgon City, Cast, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jax Jones and many more playing over 4 stages throughout the weekend, this truly is an unmissable highlight of the festival calender.
Brand new for 2017 LIMF will offer a luxury VIP area, which will feature a private bar area, deluxe toilets, incredible views and much more. Advanced tickets cost £13.20 per day and £33 for three days. For more information please visit http://www.limfestival.com.
Yaw Owusu, LIMF Music Curator, said: “I’m happy to share the final and full line up for LIMF 2017 – which I believe further showcases the musical USP of LIMF – diverse, surprising and exciting. As it’s LIMF’s fifth year, we really want to have a worthy celebration”
The LIMF Presents programme, which is inspired by the city’s Summer of Love theme, is seamlessly woven together with various influences and innovative interpretations, represented with five themed events and performances. These are ‘Good Times with Norman Jay MBE’, ‘Garage Classical, presented by DJ Spoony‘, ‘Circus Year One’ with Liverpool born founder Yousef, ‘Reminisce: 90s R&B with Trevor Nelson’ and ‘No Sleep with DJ Stretch Armstrong’. The LIMF Presents programme will take place Sefton Park Palm House between 20th-23rd July with tickets starting at £19.80, with ‘Garage Classical’ free to attend as part of LIMF Summer Jam’s Friday evening offer.
LIMF is an inherently different music festival representing the next chapter of a global music city. 2017 will see its most inspired and electric line up to date, with an unbeatable day and night programme showcasing artists, music and projects that celebrate the past, present and future of music, limited not just to Liverpool but across the world.
