Battle_of_the_Atlantic (70 of 127)A Raft Race will be run on Sunday 15 June 2014 commencing at 2:00 pm.

Why not have a fun afternoon on the water with your colleagues on the water in Salthouse and Albert Dock paddling your own designed and constructed raft, racing against local organisations, Emergency Services, Armed Forces and other local establishments.

The race will commence at 2:00 pm from the Salthouse Dock Pontoon and take in a lap each of both Salthouse and Albert Docks.

Teams of a minimum crew of four are permitted to enter; entry is £25 per raft and all donations will be split between the Lord Mayor’s Charity Funa and Canal & River Trust, however participants can raise funds for their own charity should they so wish.

Awards will be awarded to the winners, runner up, best costume, best raft and spirit of the event; all participants will be presented with a commemorative T-Shirt.

Battle_of_the_Atlantic (64 of 127)Ask your employer to enter a raft on behalf of your organisation. Constructing a raft and taking part is a great team building and character building activity. It will be lots of fun for you and your work colleagues, good publicity and in support of a very worthwhile cause.

All entrance fees and your sponsorship donations will be donated to the Lord Mayors selected charity and the River and Canal trust.

Race rules and entrance forms and further information can be obtained contacting Major Mike Jessermino on [email protected]
