You’re invited to help us celebrate The Reader’s 10th birthday with a day of food, fun and festivities. Bring your blanket and hamper, settle in for some good stories, and try some of the brilliant things you can do near your home, in our shared Calderstones home.
What’s On
• Blankets down from 10am, with a warm welcome from The Reader’s founder and director Jane Davis at 12pm, plus pop-up stories all day.
• Music and more from friends of the The Reader in the picnic area.
• Free reading adventures for children at The Storybarn.
• Free Shared Reading for adults to help you get to know your neighbours.
• Crafty workshops, outdoor activities and heritage tours of your local park and the ancient Calder Stones.
