Parade from Mann Island to Princes Parade: 5.45pm – 6.25pm
Are you ready for a rhythm and colour extravaganza? Then you won’t want to miss Spark!, a mesmerising street theatre show that combines high impact drumming with kaleidoscopic lighting design. This ghostly group of playful characters use captivating and dramatic music to interact with the crowds, leading spectators on a spellbinding journey as they transform the landscape around them.
Following their 20 minute performance at this year’s River of Light, Spark! will head on over to Mann Island, next to the Port of Liverpool Building, where they will lead a 40 minute parade finishing with a finale at Princes Dock. Everyone is welcome to take part, all you need is a little stamina, a pair of comfy shoes and to make sure you are there by 5.30pm for the start of the parade at 5.45pm. We can’t think of a better way to stay warm, so don’t be shy and come join in the fun!
If you want to bring that added flair to the proceedings then why not pop along to our Lantern Making Workshop in the FAMILY HUB, where you can craft wonderful illuminated lanterns in time to bring to the parade.
