Pulp Idol is WoW’s novel-writing competition which celebrates the works of new and original voices. With a chance to be published at a Grand Final in May 2021 during WOWFEST 21, this is not an opportunity to miss. We’ve got a really exciting panel of judges so keep an eye out on WoW news to see who’s going to be there.

This year we are joined by some incredibly special judges. We’ve got, Co-founder of Bluemoose Books, Kevin Duffy, Interim Publisher of Dead Ink Books, Yvonne Battle-Felton Award-winning author, Laura Jones and Publishing Director of Harper North Genevieve Pegg. We could not think of a better selection of judges to find our next Pulp Idol.

Pulp Idol gets you published. For instance, 2017 finalist Ariel Kahn was published with Bluemoose Books and his debut novel Raising Sparks went on to be runner-up in The Guardian’s Not The Booker Prize competition. James Rice, a past winner, signed a two-book deal with Hodder and Stoughton for his debut novel Alice and the Fly thanks to Pulp Idol.

Could you be the next Pulp Idol success story? To be in with a chance of getting your work published and read in front of a major publisher or agent, you need to submit your first chapter to [email protected]

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 2nd April 2021 so hurry you don’t have long.
