Taking inspiration from Chinese ‘Magic’ Mirrors that were cast in solid bronze and shrouded in mystery, Liverpool based collective The Kazimier will bring ancient artefacts bang up to date with cutting edge materials, creating a metallic mirage of light in the canal.

Inspired by the use of Bronze as a mirror during the Han Dynasty in ancient China, this brand new commission updates the basic science behind this amazing innovation, using lasers and floating dichroic filters to reimagine the canal in an extraordinary light display.

As well as all of this, watch out for our fire breathing Dragon, courtesy of artist collective Walk the Plank, patrolling the water around the docks on Sunday night as well as whole range of fire artists, performers and chances to get involved.
