The Ratha Yatra is a popular international parade festival of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. It features a large wooden chariot pulled by hand accompanied by singing, dancing, drums, cymbals and culminates in an afternoon of Indian music, drama and cultural exhibits.
The Festival starts at 12.00 at Williamson Square in LIverpool City Centre. Spectacular grand procession of the Jagannatha Chariot which leaves the Square at 1pm and returning about 2:30pm where a free open air festival begins with Traditional Music, Drama, Dance,Stalls, Puppet show, Free vegetarian food, Henna & more . Young and old can expect a great day filled with transcendental happiness.
