Discover and celebrate the diverse stories, dance and traditions of the Arab diaspora at Liverpool’s World Museum, and witness the production of a specially commissioned large-scale artwork by Egyptian calligraphy artist Nazir Tanbouli.

Funoon Alarabiya with Nawarra – 1pm, 2pm and 3pm

A kaleidoscope of rainbow hues, gorgeous costumes and captivating Arabic Folkloric dance from Moroccan-born artist Nawarra.

Alia Alzougbi – 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm

Expect humour and intrigue as vibrant storyteller Alia Alzougbi shares colourful traditional tales from the Arab region – including Egypt, Syria and Yemen. Alia will also share song and Arabic words to encourage young audience members to join in the fun.

Nazir Tanbouli – 2pm and 3pm

Painter, muralist and illustrator Nazir Tanbouli will explore the idea of mythology and narrative with a dramatic explosion of ink, black and white marks on massive sheets of paper.
