After recently returning from performing it the world-famous Brazilian carnival, you can catch Katumba’s performances at the Mersey  River Festival: Katumba Bloco, our community wall of sound and drummers and our brand new Katumba Drums n’ Brass, blending Brazilian and Caribbean sounds, complemented with Hip Hop, Big Beat and heaps of funk.

Founded by Musical Director Ritchie Tunstall (formerly of Batala Liverpool), and Brazilian Movement Director Juliana Landim, Katumba artfully fuses traditional Brazilian rhythms and modern beats, and high impact choreography all around.

  • Saturday 24 June: 4.30pm – 5.00pm
  • Sunday 25 June: 1.00pm – 1.30pm
