Contemporary dance meets classical ballet with a twist of vogue in our world premiere, House of Suarez Gives You The Sun, The Moon and The Stars. To celebrate the Bordeaux Wine Festival visiting the Pier Head and the arrival of the Tall Ships in Liverpool, our spectacular finale will not disappoint.
At the heart of each performance you will find three regal figures, the kings or queens of the sun, moon and stars, dressed to impress in stunning costumes created by Mary Lamb of Liverpool atelier Fabrication Studio, and inspired by Metropolis. With projections from Illuminous and spectacular pyrotechnics, this will be a performance not to be missed.
London-born, Liverpool-raised, multi award-winning choreographer Darren Suarez is the man behind the astounding annual Vogue Ball which celebrates the art of ‘voguing’ first seen in New York in the 1980s.
Now he’s bringing his eye for spectacle to the Tall Ships Regatta.

All of the entertainment is free across the festival site including the Pier Head stages. There is a charge to enter the Bordeaux Wine Festival, situated on part of the Pier Head.
