Rapper, poet and musician Dizraeli, an artist who surpasses limitations in whatever genre he finds himself makes his WoWFest debut. Blending classic hip-hop traditions with folk and the sound of the common people, Bristol-born Dizraeli will be delivering an unmissable performance of blistering honesty surrounding the issue of mental health and male identity with support from WoW’s own Caiden J.
An award-wining hip-hop playwright (Rebel Cell), Dizraeli has found acclaim on several platforms. His group Dizraeli & The Small Gods were shortlisted for the 2014 Songlines Music Award for their album Moving in the Dark and more recently supported legendary poet Saul Williams. After six years pushing boundaries with Dizraeli & The Small Gods, winning the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, receiving regular radio play and spellbinding crowds at festivals across Europe, Dizraeli left the band to explore new possibilities; composing the soundtrack for a new parallel-worlds comedy Tripped (E4), touring France with producer and turntablist DJ DownLow, and working with migrants at the refugee camp at Calais.
He travelled to Senegal to study West African music and finished six new songs resulting in the Eat My Camera EP – head nod-heavy, beautiful, unsugared songwriting unlike anything you’ve heard before. His latest release is the Leroy Merlin EP by Dizraeli & DownLow (with Nathan Feddo).
