LIMF ACADEMY is an award-winning project designed to improve and enhance the creative skill-set and career opportunities of emerging music creators from across Merseyside. For over 8 years now, it has helped thousands of artists and bands between the ages of 16-25 gain exclusive access to development and performance opportunities, creative and career networks and support, insider know-how from the music industry, plus much more.

In the wake of Covid and the ripple effect it has had on the music industry, LIMF Academy is proud to announce the arrival of ‘Changing The Narrative’, a new programme created to support musicians on their mental health and well-being journey.

Aimed at emerging music artists and creators between the ages of 18-30 from across Merseyside, ‘Changing The Narrative’ is a FREE 10-week programme consisting of two-hour face to face sessions per week, 1-2-1 support and creative music-making workshops. The purpose? To help participants build inner confidence and self-esteem and raise awareness of their individual processes and practices so they can move forward with a fresh focus and renewed energy in their careers and personal life.

Qualified Mental Health First Aiders will be on hand to help, support and guide participants throughout the programme, which is facilitated by professional life coach Basil Reynolds and managed by the LIMF Academy team.

The first ‘Changing The Narrative’ ran during August and Sept 2021. This year will run from June. An open call will be announced in May. Spaces for this programme are limited to 15 individuals and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
