As host city and to support the wider Eurovision festival, Liverpool proudly presented an exciting and innovative education and communities programme to ensure that everyone within the Liverpool City Region and beyond had the opportunity to be part of the biggest event in the global music calendar.
Supported with funding from the The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Department for Culture, Media & Sport, Spirit of 2012 and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund; our specially curated ‘EuroLearn’ and ‘EuroStreet’ programmes engaged schools and communities, encouraging them to take part, deliver their own events, spectate and celebrate.
Underpinning our whole programme was, of course, the ‘United by Music’ theme. Welcome, home, sanctuary, belonging, loneliness, togetherness, hope, mental health & wellbeing, voice of the child and celebration of all things Eurovision also featured as important sub-themes and were interwoven throughout.
On these pages you will find an assortment of commissions, projects and events.
