Where can I see it? Disney Magic will be berthed alongside Liverpool Cruise Terminal between 8am and 7pm.

Anywhere in the Pier Head and Princes Parade area will offer a good view of the ship.

 

What’s it for? Disney Magic will call to Liverpool on Friday 14th July.

 

She is calling here as part of her scheduled round Britain cruise, calling to other ports such as: Dublin, Kirkwall, Hebrides, Liverpool, Invergordon, Newcastle, Guernsey, Dover & Greenock

 

For the second year running, Disney is offering cruises to the British Isles so that guests can enjoy a magical tour of the sights and scenery of Great Britain, Ireland & Scotland where age old historical wonders mingle alongside spectacular natural landscapes, as well as the buzz and excitement of Liverpool of course, home to a plethora of unique landmarks and attractions.

 

 

Who can attend? Anyone can attend.

 

 

 

 

Will there be anything special happening on Friday 14 July 2017? Aside from it being a busy ship operation with passengers enjoying the city, going on tours etc

 

Cruise Liverpool will be showing Disney Magic a real Liverpool welcome when she makes her third visit to our wonderful World Heritage Waterfront on Friday 14 July by sprinkling our special magic on Princes Parade with a FREE family friendly event, taking place between 3:30pm and 7:00pm.

There will be an outdoor screen showing Disney movies, a street theatre programme and magical moments throughout the afternoon so come along and join in!

 

Everyone knows life is much more fun in fancy dress, so be sure to don your favourite Disney outfit and make Princes Parade your stage….

 

After an afternoon of fun and frivolity, we’ll wave a fond farewell to Disney Magic with a special sing along and a colourful confetti show will signal the ships departure at 7pm.

Will the public be allowed to look around Disney Magic when she is in Liverpool? Outside of official visitors, arranged by Disney cruise line themselves, there will be no visits permitted on board Disney Magic.

 

Will there be any tickets sold for visiting Disney Magic? No, tickets will not be sold.

 

Will the Disney Characters be coming off the ship to meet and greet people? Unfortunately the Disney Characters are not allowed to come off the ship.

 

What’s happening at the outdoor screen? There will 2 films shown on the large outdoor screen, we will confirm these in the weeks leading up to the event.

·         There will be no seating provided. The audience should bring along something to sit on whether that is a blanket, a fold out chair etc.

·         Umbrellas are not permitted as they will restrict audience viewing so pack a waterproof in case it rains.

·         The audience are welcome to bring along their own popcorn, picnics, drinks etc

·         No alcohol is permitted.

 

What Magical Moments will be happening? Princes Parade will be transformed into a magical wonderland, wander along the promenade to find all kinds of surprises, big and small.

 

 

Are there any participation activities? Families are being encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney character and take part in a special sing along show to signal the ships departure.

 

 

 

Will there be a Fireworks display on Friday 14 July? No – this is due to a day time departure of 7pm.

 

What will happen when the ship departs? You are invited to join in a special sing along sail away show at approx. 6:45pm. A Colourful confetti show will signal the ships departure at 7pm.

 

 

Can we access the cruise berth to get next to the ship? No, it is a Restricted Area for passengers, crew and invited ship visitors only

 

Can I drive near the ship? No. On Friday 14 July a full road closure will be in place on Princes Parade between 12 Noon and 8pm.

During this time:

•                    Parking restrictions will be enforced on Princes Parade

•                    Princes Parade car parks will not be accessible during the event

•                    Tenants who ordinarily park on Princes Parade, will be able to park on Plot 11. Vehicle permits will be allocated in advance.

•                    Access to William Jessop Way will be via Bath Street roundabout only

•                    Access/egress to Crowne Plaza hotel will be facilitated as normal

•                    The Taxi Rank at St Nicholas place will be maintained as normal.

•                    Disembarking IOMSP ferry traffic will be required to turn right at the top of Gate

•                    Emergency access will be maintained throughout the weekend.

•                    Access to the Crowne Plaza will not be affected

 

I live on Princes Parade, how will the event affect me? Access to Alexandra Tower, Waterside Apartments and Number 1 William Jessop way will be maintained.

Access will be via Bath Street roundabout only.

 

I work on Princes Parade, how will the event affect me? Liverpool Cruise Terminal is working closely with Peel to minimise disruption to businesses in the area. Alternative parking arrangements have been made. Please contact [email protected] for further information.

 

I am coming to the event, where can I Park? There is a multi-Storey car park in William Jessop Way.
