Padawans from across the North West have a fantastic opportunity to be schooled in the ways of the mystical and powerful Force, as part of their journey to become Jedi Masters this February half term.

The exclusive Jedi School masterclasses are being held at Spaceport, as part of the attraction’s popular “Sci-Fi Icons” exhibition, which showcases a private collection of Stars Wars memorabilia from one of the UK’s biggest collectors.

From Monday 19 February through to Friday 23 February, children will get the chance to meet and greet well-loved characters, alongside saving a Jedi temple from the Sith Lords and taking part in lightsaber battles with enemies of the galaxy.

Gary Evans from Mersey Ferries said: “The masterclasses are a must do for any budding Jedis or fans of the Star Wars franchise. They offer an interactive and immersive experience, which is second to none in the region and the classes we held last year were a huge hit with visitors.

£35 family ticket allows two adults and three children to ride the Mersey Ferry and visit the U-Boat Story at Woodside and also the popular Spaceport attraction in Seacombe

“Spaceport is always a great way to spend a few hours as a family, and the Sci-Fi Icons exhibitions really seems to have captured people’s imaginations. Once they’ve taken part in the masterclasses, our visitors can spend time browsing the Sci-Fi icons collection which showcases iconic scenes and adored characters from the franchise – such as the Landspeeder Desert Scene and Ewok Village.

“Our Mersey Ferry River Explorer Cruise ticket, includes access to the ‘Sci-Fi Icons’ exhibition at Spaceport, the Jedi School and also The U-Boat Story at Woodside, so provides a whole day of activity for families in the north west.”

There will be five Jedi masterclasses and shows per day. Meet and greets with characters from the franchise will also be available in the Foyer at Spaceport.

Jedi School masterclasses – suitable for children aged six and over – are free to attend throughout the February half term week (Monday 19- Friday 23 February) with admission included as part of the £35 Mersey Ferries River Explorer Cruise Family Ticket, which can be purchased online. Entry at Spaceport only is also available for £6 per child or £9.50 per adult. Spaceport is open from 10am-5pm from Saturday 10th Sunday 25 February.

Places at Jedi School are subject to availabililty.
