The Real Thing, with original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith and their live five piece band, will perform A Brand New Day, their first new album of original material in 44 years.

Their new soulful single ‘Hang On Never Let Go’ will be special for all the lovers who grew up listening to their classic hits, and fans will be treated to a live version of their classic composition ‘Children of the Ghetto’, which has been covered by the likes of Courtney Pine, Paul Hardcastle, Mart J Bligh, and Philip Bailey. This is also the first time this track has been recorded featuring lead vocals by Chris Amoo.

The Real Thing enjoyed success in the 70s and 80s with three top ten singles – ‘You To Me Are Everything’, ‘Can’t Get By Without You’, and ‘Can You Feel the Force’. These tracks still feature on UK radio stations today, hit over a million monthly plays on Spotify, and their Greatest Hits album was the second most downloaded album on Amazon – making The Real Thing a force to be reckoned with.
