The first transatlantic crossings were not made by towering ships, but by humble Atlantic Salmon in their search for food and shelter. For millennia, the Atlantic Salmon has swum thousands of miles, back and forth between the UK and North America to feed and to spawn. Find out about the miracle of nature that’s allowed them to survive the epic journey, celebrate the fascinating story of Mersey salmon and best of all – sample some great salmon dishes cooked by talented local chefs.

If it’s something sweet you’re after, join in and help create a giant edible map of our magnificent city made entirely from cake! Baking enthusiasts and beginners alike can sign up to recreate their favourite Liverpool or New York landmark in sponge and icing to place on the map. Or why not come along and make edible items for the map – fondant ferry anyone? Click here for more details.
