Chinese New Year 2016 Events

After the success of the Year of the Goat, Liverpool Chinatown is heading towards the Year of the Monkey celebrations that commence on Sunday 7th February 2016.

The 2016 Kuei Szu year welcomes the ninth animal sign of the Chinese Zodiac – the smart, lively and versatile Monkey.

The lively, quick witted and clever Monkey tends to be flexible, cheerful and energetic with a gentle and honest nature which, allied with their loyal nature, can often mean they are popular with friends and family.  However, although regarded as intelligent and wise, Monkeys can be restless, snobbish and at times arrogant.

To celebrate the Year of the Monkey, Culture Liverpool, Liverpool Chinese Community groups and other organisations are arranging a series of arts and cultural events with the main celebratory events taking place on Sunday 7th February 2016 – to see what’s on, scroll below to find out what’s on and where.
